The second International Media Expo, focusing on the film and television industries, the content production chain and future technologies, will be held at Milad Tower Exhibition Center in Tehran from October 28 to 31, 2026. Artificial intelligence is the main theme of this edition. Organizers have announced plans to unveil a locally developed AI system and hold specialized sessions and workshops on the use of AI in media.
The exhibition aims to showcase the capabilities of the media industry, expand professional and business cooperation, and introduce emerging content-production technologies. Its target audience includes film and television professionals, content creators, studios, advertising agencies, imaging-equipment suppliers and companies working in artificial intelligence.
The exhibition will be open to visitors daily from 11 a.m. to 8 p.m.
A locally developed AI system to be unveiled
Iman Masdari, head of the Media Expo organizing committee, has announced plans to unveil a locally developed artificial intelligence system that, according to the organizers, has been trained using Iranian data and content.
The organizers say this edition places greater emphasis on the relationship between the content industry and the development of intelligent technologies. As a result, the exhibition will cover not only media equipment and services but also the use of AI in content creation and development.
The program is being planned in cooperation with the Iranian Artificial Intelligence Association and the Iranian Specialized Council for Artificial Intelligence. Specialized panels, practical workshops and idea competitions focused on AI applications in content production are among the announced activities.
However, detailed technical information about the locally developed system and its capabilities has not yet been independently published. A fuller assessment will require further technical details and an official demonstration.
International participation from three countries
Elham Sadat Hosseini, the exhibition’s executive director, has said that participation by brands from China, Australia and Japan has been confirmed. According to her, negotiations with other countries are ongoing, but their names have not yet been announced.
The organizers describe stronger connections between Iranian media professionals and international companies as one of the event’s goals. Business cooperation, professional exchange and introducing Iran’s content-production capabilities to foreign markets are also part of this objective.
International participation could provide domestic professionals with opportunities to explore new equipment, services and media solutions. The extent to which this goal is achieved will depend on the final list of exhibitors and the event’s actual program.
Exhibition space to expand compared with the first edition
According to figures released by the organizers, the first Media Expo, held in 2025, occupied approximately 1,000 square meters and attracted nearly 20,000 visitors.
